Oregon innovation challenge
During the 2023–24 school year, I had the privilege of working for Allen Hall Advertising. My team worked with the Oregon Innovation Challenge, helping them expand their program's reach.
In my role, I created this animation of my teammate Savannah Zerbel's design. Although I encountered many challenges along the way, I'm proud of how this project turned out, and I'm excited to create more like it in the future.
Goose Farm Simulator
I created this video as my final project for a motion graphics workshop class I took my sophomore year of college.
The raw footage, which features my friend Alvin Levie taking care of his family friend's pet geese, came from a scrapped short-form documentary I filmed about him.
Even though that project didn't work out, I'm glad I was able to find a use for it later down the line.
K3NSW3IRD "Joker" Promo
This video is a freelance project I took on for the Portland rapper K3nsw3ird. I first worked for him as a videographer, filming and editing his performance at a local venue.
In addition to the full-length video, I was inspired to rework some of the footage into promotional content for his next concert. Luckily, he was totally on board!
This is my favorite type of video editing to do. I love animating text and coming up with unique transitions between clips, especially if there's music to time it to.
If I learned one thing from this project, it's how to work with footage that doesn't want to work with me. The colored stage lights, which reduced the contrast between the subject and the background, made rotoscoping a nightmare. However, I persevered and learned a lot of tricks and techniques along the way that I know will serve me well in the future.
